Tenerife Dive Sites: Las Cuevitas - Los Gigantes Diving Centre

Meaning The little caves in Spanish, this is an interesting dive site for all levels of experience. The Canary Islands are volcanic in origin and numerous small caverns can be found on the sea bed beneath the cliffs of Los Gigantes, some of which are safe to explore.

This dive is conducted as a drift dive. After checking the current direction, divers enter the water at one end of a rocky ledge which runs parallel to the shore line and is undercut with several small caves. The dive is not deep, from 6 to 16 metres, allowing plenty of time to spend exploring the walls and grottos which provide home to many adolescent fish, colourful Anemones, Morays, Octopus and Canarian Lobsters.
